What is Skimmet, and how do you play it?
The purpose of Skimmet is to evaluate a website's skimmer friendliness. It's a browser extension that adds a toolbar button. There are two options that filter the content. You can either turn off the filter or turn it on.
When you turn it off, you'll see the website's content in all the way. When it's turned on, you can see the content with two options: "Blur" or "Gray Scale". It gives you an idea of how effective your design is.
